D&D Portal Wiki brings character options, rules, homebrew and practical tools together in one searchable website. I design, develop and maintain the project, which started with our own games and keeps growing beyond them.

I play Dungeons & Dragons in person with friends. D&D Portal grew from wanting a central place for the information we needed while preparing characters and playing together.
The aim was simple: spend less time looking for information and more time enjoying the game. That small idea became the largest ongoing project I’ve built.
The wiki brings together classes, species, spells, equipment, monsters, NPCs and locations. It also covers game rules, campaign-specific decisions and original homebrew.
The spell collection currently includes 574 entries, with details such as casting time, range, components and duration. Search helps visitors find information across the site without having to know where it lives.
Alongside the reference pages, I’ve added practical tools: a dice roller, a browser-based character sheet and a currency converter.
As the content grows, organising it becomes as important as adding it. I work on the structure, navigation and reusable layouts so that visitors can move between related information and understand what they’re reading.
Readability and accessibility guide that work: clear headings, comfortable spacing, keyboard navigation and layouts that adapt to smaller screens. It’s an ongoing process of building, testing and improving.
D&D Portal Wiki is the public reference website.
The separate D&D Player Portal focuses on organising campaigns, including parties, members, announcements and session dates.
Keeping those purposes separate lets the wiki focus on finding information, while the Player Portal supports the people playing together.
My goal is to keep D&D Portal free to use. I believe Dungeons & Dragons should be widely accessible, and finding useful information should make it easier to start playing with friends.
I want the project to help people feel comfortable joining a game, exploring their options and spending time together around a table.
To support its continued development, I’m looking for people and organisations who would like to contribute financially in exchange for a funder credit on the website. That support would help me keep building towards this goal.
Talk to meD&D Portal Wiki is the project I’m most proud of. According to my Google Analytics figures, it receives around 2,000 visitors a week—far beyond the group of friends it started with.
There’s still plenty I want to improve, expand and explore. That’s part of what makes it meaningful to me: it’s a working project used by other people, with new questions to solve as it grows.
