AnimeShow – Anime Streaming Platform

AnimeShow is a conceptual streaming platform designed by Toon van Berkel, created with the goal of making anime more accessible through a clean and modern interface. It was built as a design-focused project that reimagines chaotic anime sites into a structured, user-friendly experience.

The concept includes advanced filtering options, anime news integration, personalized recommendations, seasonal schedules, and a list of trending titles. While currently a static prototype, the project shows potential for future development using React and external APIs.

Design Philosophy

The visual design of AnimeShow is inspired by pirate anime streaming platforms but reimagined with clarity and user experience in mind. Toon van Berkel focused on delivering a responsive layout using frameworks like Bootstrap, with accessibility and consistency as key pillars of the interface.

Every element—from the content cards to navigation—has been optimized to reduce visual clutter while still maintaining feature richness. The design is intentionally scalable to support further development into a real application.

Future Vision

This project currently exists as a static prototype and is not yet connected to a functional backend or database. However, Toon van Berkel envisions expanding it using React, incorporating dynamic data from anime APIs, and potentially building a mobile-first PWA for wider accessibility.

Showcase

A detailed walkthrough of the AnimeShow design will be published on the @_Toonvb YouTube channel. The showcase will explore interface interactions, styling choices, and the project's development process. Until then, users can preview screenshots above for a visual overview.
